These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to your use of the Restore Polish website and any purchase you make from us. By using our site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. Please read them alongside our Refund Policy, Shipping Policy and Privacy Policy, which form part of these Terms.

1. Who we are

The store is operated by Restore Polish, based in Christchurch, New Zealand ("Restore", "we", "us"). Our store is hosted by Shopify.

2. Eligibility and orders

  • You must be at least 18, or have a parent or guardian's permission, to place an order.
  • We currently accept orders for delivery to addresses in the United States only.
  • Your order is an offer to buy. We accept it when we dispatch it. We may refuse or cancel an order, for example if an item is unavailable, a price is wrong or we suspect fraud. If we cancel after you've paid, we'll refund you in full.

3. Products and descriptions

  • Our sets bring together carefully chosen jewellery-care products, which may include products made by third-party brands. The contents of each set are listed on the product page.
  • We try to describe and show products accurately. Some lifestyle and before/after images on our site are illustrations. Real results depend on the type, age and condition of each piece.
  • Packaging and product design can change from time to time without affecting what's inside.

4. Using the products safely

Always read and follow the instructions and safety information supplied with each product, and test on a small, hidden area first. Our polish isn't suitable for pearls, opals, turquoise, coral, amber or other soft or porous stones, for plating that has already worn through, or for darkened designs you want to keep dark. Keep products out of reach of children and pets. We're not responsible for damage caused by using products in a way that goes against their instructions or these Terms.

5. Photo advice and video calls

Our photo advice and the Heirloom Collection video call give general, good-faith guidance on caring for your pieces, based on the photos and information you share. They aren't a professional appraisal, valuation, authentication or conservation service. For valuable, fragile or antique items, we recommend consulting a professional jeweller or conservator. Video calls must be booked within 6 months of delivery.

6. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in US dollars and may change without notice; the price you pay is the one shown at checkout. Shipping to US addresses is free. Any applicable sales tax is calculated at checkout. Payments are processed securely by Shopify and its payment partners.

8. Our content

All text, images, graphics, logos and designs on this site belong to Restore or are used with permission. Third-party brand names belong to their owners. You may not copy or reuse our content for commercial purposes without our written permission.

9. Reviews and content you send us

If you send us reviews, photos or videos and agree to us sharing them, you give us permission to use them on our site and social media, credited as you prefer. You're responsible for making sure you have the right to share them.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Restore isn't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from your use of our site or products. Our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability or consumer right that cannot be excluded or limited under the laws of your state.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. If you are a consumer, you also keep any protections given to you by the mandatory consumer laws of the US state you live in.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version on our site when you place an order applies to that order.
